documentation of the neon shopfronts and interiors of chinese chippies, a dual-menu takeaway synonymous with the northwest of england due to patterns of immigration in the 20th century. growing up in the region i have always bore an appreciation for the visual language of these spaces and felt it was important to document them before they slowly fade from the high street due to large scale closures and renovations.
